As per Shastra’s :
।। ॐ यक्षराजाय विद्महे वैश्रवणाय् धीमहि तन्नो कुबेर प्रचोदयात् ।।
We meditate on Kuber, the king of the Yakshas, and the son of Vishravan. May he grant us wealth and prosperity.
Essence of Twenty One Mukhi Rudraksha:
‘The 21 Mukhi Rudraksha is blessed by Lord Kubera.’
Lord Kubera is considered to be the treasurer of the Gods and the guardian of wealth. Thus the person who wears the 21 Mukhi Rudraksha is known to receive abundant wealth. Not only does he acquire it but he also retains the same for his future generations. All the material luxuries of life are available to wearer. The wearer of this bead is protected from any evil force or legal tangles. Tantric effects or evil eye fail to even touch the wearer of this rare Rudraksha. Kubera is a Yaksha, a Dikpal and the Demi God who rules finance. His permission and consent are essential because without them even Goddess Mahalaxmi will not shower her grace on any individual. Lord Shiva always blesses Kubera. This is why at times he is addressed as Ishaan Mitra. The Kubera Gayatri addresses him as follows:
Benefits of wearing the 21 Mukhi Rudraksha :
General Benefits: As per texts, the wearer of this Rudraksha is abundantly showered with all possible riches and good fortune. He enjoys them profusely as this bead shields him from evil eye or Tantric effects. All dangers and evils are kept at bay. Since Lord Kubera is regarded as the Lord of Treasury it is believed that his consent is absolutely necessary for Goddess Mahalaxmi to bestow her grace on an individual. Thus the wealth earned by an individual is enormous and he enjoys it fully. He also retains his fortune.
Spiritual Benefits: It is believed that Gods, Goddesses, Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh reside in the 21 Mukhi. Thus the wearer is supremely blessed by all divine energies. This Rudraksha is also blessed by the physician of Gods known as Lord Dhanvantari. As he is the patron of Ayurveda, this bead is efficacious in blessing the wearer with good health. As per scriptures it is believed to protect the wearer from effects of black magic and unwanted negative Tantric Kriyas.
Health Benefits: This Rudraksha is said to be extremely beneficial for long life, controlling blood sugar and prostrate problems.
Who should wear the Twenty One Mukhi Rudraksha :
It is seen that all those who earn a lot of wealth are always victims of envious glances. Jealousy and evil eye plague such people even though their good fortune is a result of good Karma. Such people benefit from wearing the 21 Mukhi Rudraksha which is a very rare and a powerful bead.
The 21 Mukhi Rudraksha is graced by the ruler of Alkapuri (The city of gems and riches). He is Yaksharaja Kubera. This Rudraksha controls the malefic effects of the planet Venus. The wearer of this bead draws enormous wealth and gracefully retains it. In addition to this he is graced by unimaginable good fortune. He is shielded from all dangers while enjoying all the luxuries of life.
Lord Kubera – The ruler of Alkapuri :
Once after a long penance, Kubera opened his eyes. He could not bear the radiant form of Lord Shiva’s blinding effulgence. Lord Shiva then gave him power to see the divine light. Kubera saw the divine Goddess with his eyes wide open. The Goddess was infuriated by his wide eyed glance and plucked one of his eyes out. Lord Shiva intervened and blessed him saying that he is in charge of riches and treasury. He was appointed the ruler of Alkapuri.
Rules for wearing and how to maintain your Rudraksha :
- Wash your Rudraksha with water and oil the Rudraksha using a soft brush preferably once a month using almond oil.
- Chant ‘Om Namah Shivaye’ before wearing the Mala the next day.
- Remove Rudraksha Mala while engaging in sexual intercourse and while visiting funeral grounds.
- We at Rudralife, suggest that one can remove Rudraksha Mala while consuming non vegetarian food and alcohol and wear it afterwards. Though our scriptures also highlight that they can be worn all the time without any restrictions.
- Women can wear Rudraksha and is their choice whether they wish to remove the Mala during menstrual cycles. As per our scriptures, there are no such restrictions and women can wear Rudraksha without any worries.
- To energise the Rudraksha Mala, touch it to a shivling and chant ‘Om Namah Shivaye’ 11 times. If possible, try to do a Rudrabhishek of the Rudraksha when possible.
- Do try to refrain from wearing a Rudraksha Mala worn by others and keep a Mala separate for Japa and for wearing.
